A Mutual fund product manager who oversees Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) has several critical responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify investor needs and market trends.
Analyse data to understand investor preferences, risk appetite, and emerging opportunities.
Product Strategy and Positioning:
Define a robust product strategy for the ETF.
Position the ETF in a way that differentiates it from competitors.
Consider factors like target audience, investment objectives, and risk profile.
Collaboration and Design:
Collaborate with fund managers, legal teams, and compliance experts.
Design the fund structure and develop an investment strategy.
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Co-ordinate with external market participants to set up an operational infrastructure within the FT system.
Co-ordinate with external market participants to tie-up with them for providing service to support the business for e.g. market makers for liquidity
Performance Metrics and Success Measurement:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Assets Under Management (AUM), Net Asset Value (NAV), and investor retention rate.
Evaluate the success of the ETF based on these metrics.
